We are seeking a motivated and experienced Applications OR Contracts Engineer to join our market leading company. Here at Dalair Ltd we’re going through an exciting period of growth and this role is to further support our UK based clients in the offering of our manufactured bespoke Air Handling Units.

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a well-established team with quotation and application management
• Deliver professional response and solutions to our clients
• Identify opportunities for product and process improvement
• Maintain clear records of issues, details, actions and responsibilities to support successful commercial resolutions and maintain client relationships
• Work closely with our Sales Team to develop enquires, capturing and consolidating into agreed requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous application engineering experience, ideally within a HVAC environment, but we will consider candidates with other industry experience
• Proven experience in dealing with systems and components to optimise performance
• Strong knowledge of application engineering principles and practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external clients

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements and expectations.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate across departments to ensure clear communication and alignment on project deliverables, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
• Job Performance Monitoring: Oversee daily project progress, ensuring that all actions and risks are addressed promptly. Work to optimise margins while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety at all stages.
• Contract Documentation: Prepare, collate, and submit all necessary contract documentation to clients prior to the start of work. Ensure all approvals are secured before mobilising to site.
• Change Management: Record and manage any changes to job deliverables, liaising with the commercial department as necessary to ensure effective communication.
• Problem Solving & Solutions: Provide professional and effective responses to client queries and challenges, offering practical solutions to meet their needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for product and process improvement, working with internal teams to implement best practices.
• Commercial Records & Client Relations: Maintain thorough records of issues, actions, and responsibilities to ensure the success of commercial resolutions and to foster long-term client relationships.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Engineer, ideally within an HVAC environment. Candidates from other engineering backgrounds will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of contract engineering principles and best practices.
• Ability to optimise systems and components for performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Health and safety awareness and the ability to ensure compliance throughout projects.
